Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (PCS) has introduced the newest iteration of its cutting table software, IPC 3.1, now available for immediate use on its latest machine models. This cloud-enabled upgrade brings a suite of powerful productivity features, including a more intuitive interface, simplified “one-click” operations, and enhanced automation for faster setup and smoother workflows.
The updated user interface is designed to be touch-friendly and easy to navigate, offering real-time feedback that minimizes the learning curve for new users. By making it easier to take full advantage of the cutting table’s capabilities, IPC 3.1 helps businesses increase efficiency and output.
Dynamic nicks: Improve material handling by keeping cut parts and waste intact during unloading. Users can adjust or insert nicks directly within the software without relying on external tools or editing original files.
Redesigned interface: Intuitive, touch-optimized layout with real-time push notifications that minimize downtime and improve user responsiveness.
Streamlined automation tools:
V-notch automation: Automatically calculates settings for perfect fold lines.
Edge detection and file orientation: Speeds up setup by automatically rotating or mirroring files as needed.
Advanced job estimation: Delivers more accurate time and resource forecasts, ensuring better planning and reduced delays.
John Wilson, Product Manager at Kongsberg PCS, noted, “IPC 3.1 was developed in direct response to customer feedback. It represents a significant upgrade from our previous system—offering smarter tools, reducing setup times, and boosting overall productivity. With enhancements like dynamic nicks, our customers can now extract even more value and performance from their Kongsberg tables.”
The new IPC 3.1 is compatible with the latest Kongsberg Ultimate, C-series, X-series, and select earlier model platforms.
